Hello there and welcome to my blog! First and foremost, thank you for taking some time out of your day to do a little deep dive into the mind of Jordan Kiser (that's me). I am a mid twenties, independent to a fault, big dreaming gal from the midwest. I figured the best decision for my first post is to give you a little insight to who I am beyond the stranger behind the computer screen.

I work as a full time armed security officer for a nuclear plant (shoutout to all my shift work peeps). I have pursued a bachelor's degree for many years, prolonged by my everchanging majors (ugh), but am on track to graduate soon. Until then - I am enjoying every bit of opportunity and circumstance life has to offer one day at a time.

I have a passion for the gym which has developed into a hunger for knowledge in all things

health and fitness. I am currently in route to take my NASM CPT exam and

become a certified trainer. I work with clients here and there, helping

them to focus hard on building a solid foundation and to develop lifelong habits before diving into the world of restrictive diets and competitions. I am a firm believer in learning to overcome the mental challenge that is taking charge of your health so that you are able to form habits that will last a lifetime. Anyone can follow a cookie cutter plan, lose some weight, then turn around and gain it back when they quit the diet because they never conquered their mind. But that's a rant for another day.

I have had a travel bug for as long as I can remember, eagerly road tripping from Kansas to South Carolina within a couple weeks of being out of high school. Growing up with family all over the country and summers/holidays spent travelling, I truly think the desire to see it all was inevitable. With all that being said, I strive to make the most of the chunks of time I have off. I travel more than the average joe with trips ranging anywhere from road trips, car camping, hiking and fishing to resort stays, massages, beach and margarita time. I spend a lot of time with little adventure pup, Sophie, who was God's biggest blessing and gift he could've provided me with to date. I'm not sure how I would have made it through some of the times that I have without my sweet Sophie girl.

I am surrounded by an amazing group of family and friends - a blessing I will never be able to be thankful enough for. They are fairly involved with the many adventures I take, either incredibly supportive of my whims or physically joining along whenever they can.

Other than that - I'm just like you. I struggle with time management and my self care sometimes suffers. Mental health can be a battle during those down times and such a joy during life's highs. I have great opportunities and unfortunate hands, times that feel like nothing can bring me down and periods when it rains, it pours. I have a great series planned on some major dating fails (they make for some pretty entertaining stories) and hope like hell an opportunity to make some new friends and meet some new people arises via this blog.

This feels like a pretty simple introduction but an introduction never the less. I cannot wait to get the blog rolling and starting knocking out the many ideas that are flowing for posts! I suppose if all else fails, this could be a neat spot to look back and see how far I go from where I am in life today. Either way, thanks for spending five seconds checking out the page or the next five years joining me in experiencing this unpredictable life through the eyes of Jordan Kiser.
